More about me…
My Path to Counselling
I’ve always been drawn to understanding people — what sits beneath the surface, why we respond the way we do, and how we can find our way back to ourselves when life feels overwhelming. My career has always centred around helping others, but counselling has felt like home. It’s the space where my curiosity, empathy, and professional training come together with a clear sense of purpose.
My path to becoming a counsellor wasn’t only shaped by study — it was deeply personal. There was a time when I felt disconnected, moving through life on autopilot, aware that something wasn’t right but unsure how to change it. Counselling gave me the chance to slow down, look inward, and begin understanding who I really was beneath the noise of daily life. That process changed me, and it continues to influence how I hold space for others today — with empathy, honesty, and respect for each person’s pace and story.
My Approach
Counselling with me is a collaborative and grounded process. I offer a calm and compassionate environment where you can bring all parts of yourself — the confident and the uncertain, the hopeful and the hurting. Together, we work to understand what’s happening beneath the surface, explore the patterns shaping your experiences, and begin moving toward meaningful change.
My work is person-centred and trauma-informed, which means I see you as the expert in your own life. I bring structure, presence, and guidance, while you bring your lived experience and readiness to explore. I draw from a range of therapeutic frameworks — including Psychodynamic Therapy, Attachment Theory, ACT, Family Systems Theory, mindfulness, and parts work — integrating what’s most useful for each individual.
While my approach is grounded in evidence-based practice, I also recognise that healing can have emotional, physical, and spiritual dimensions. For some, connecting with nature, creativity, or a sense of something larger plays an important role in healing. These aspects are always welcome in our work together, in a way that feels natural and supportive to you.
Who I Work With
I work with adults seeking to deepen their self-understanding, move through challenges, and reconnect with what feels true for them. I am particularly drawn to working with women, mothers, and highly sensitive people who may feel out of place in a world that often asks them to be less of who they are.
My practice supports clients experiencing:
Anxiety and depression
Self-doubt, low self-esteem, and body image concerns
Relationship challenges and boundary difficulties
The transitions and identity shifts of motherhood and major life changes
I believe counselling can help you live more consciously and intentionally — seeing old patterns clearly, releasing what no longer serves you, and creating space for new ways of being.
What You Can Expect
In our sessions, you’ll find a calm and steady space to explore what’s been difficult, without pressure or judgment. We move at your pace, balancing reflection with practical tools for everyday life. You’ll be met with curiosity, compassion, and gentle honesty.
Over time, clients often describe feeling more connected to themselves, more confident in their decisions, and more at ease in their relationships. My hope is that through our work, you come home to yourself — with greater clarity, self-trust, and capacity to create a life that feels aligned with who you truly are.
